No — the content is encoded directly into the code itself (this isn't a redirect/shortlink service), so it works forever and isn't tied to this site staying online.
What does the background image actually do?
It's drawn underneath the QR code at reduced opacity for a stylized look. A background image with too much contrast can make the code harder to scan — if a generated code doesn't scan reliably, try a higher error-correction level or a plainer background.
Is the content I enter sent anywhere?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted, logged, or stored, including any background image you upload.
